We also support the work of the group companies with various functional areas, such as Compliance, Controlling, IT, Legal, Tax, Risk Control, HR, and Communications.
For our group company, Neumann Gruppe GmbH, we are looking for a
Tax Manager VAT and Indirect Taxes (f/m/d).
You will be part of our Group Tax team based in Hamburg and you will report directly to the Head of Group Tax. Both, full-time and part-time applications are welcome.
Your responsibilities
- VAT returns: You will prepare advance VAT returns and annual VAT returns for the German Group companies.
- Consulting: Supporting and advising our departments on VAT-related issues is another important part of this job as well as conducting VAT training courses.
- Coffee Tax: You will prepare the excise tax returns and applications for relief (coffee tax) and also advise our departments on excise tax matters (coffee tax).
- Tax audit: You will support us during tax audits on the subject of VAT and excise duties.
- Tax compliance: Together with your colleagues, you will work on and further develop our tax compliance processes, especially in the area of VAT, and also create and update internal company guidelines and procedural documentation.
- Digital Transformation: Furthermore, you will support the Digital Transformation team in projects for the introduction of a new ERP system.
Your profile
- Background: You can show an university degree in business administration or a comparable course of study, ideally with a focus on taxes. Of course, a successfully completed tax training (e.g. as a certified tax advisor) with continuous further training and/or successfully completed tax consultant exam.
- Experience: You have several years of professional experience in an auditing or tax consulting company and/or in a tax department, focusing on VAT, preferably of a mid-size or family-owned company.
- Skills: You know MS Office very well and you can deal with accounting programs as well as Elster.
- Soft skills: You are able to grasp complex issues quickly and present them in an understandable way. A results-oriented way of working, coupled with a sense of responsibility, commitment and communication skills round off your profile.
- It's international: You are fluent in written and spoken English and German.
