Tax Manager (m/w/d)

JOB SCOPE

Involved in all aspects of international tax planning and compliance, including European income tax, income tax accounting, and VAT. Directly responsible for all global tax related issues.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Takes responsibility for German legal tax advice, tax planning and tax structuring, tax compliance, review and design of contract clauses for tax purposes, responsible for negotiations in connection with relevant tax matters, e.g. tax audit, administrative appeals, fiscal court procedures.
• Takes responsibility for International Tax Provision including coordinating with and assisting International Plant Controllers with completion of tax packages; review of International deferred tax calculations and deferred tax roll forward and preparing year-end and true-up deferred tax entries.
• Assists in international (global) income tax audits as needed.
• Maintains and updates international tax reporting calendar including reporting dates for withholding tax payments.
• Assists in the implementation of international tax planning projects, including modeling alternatives, reviewing various planning alternatives, coordinating and dealing with outside service providers, etc.
• Oversees development and maintenance of transfer pricing policies and documentation.
• Works with plant controlling on local country tax issues
• Assists in international non-income tax related projects - VAT, Customs, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified Tax Accountant with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• More than 5 years international tax experience in either a multi-national corporate tax department or Big 4 firm, or combination of both
• Fluent English language skills
• German language skills preferred
