The Diabetes Operating Unit focuses on improving the lives of those within the global diabetes community. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Provide strategic legal advice across the DACH region and selected EMEA markets, covering risk, competition, and regulatory matters
• Support product lifecycle and launches with guidance on medical device regulation, marketing law, and commercial strategy
• Advise on direct-to-consumer business models, including contracts and consumer protection requirements
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements across business functions
• Lead legal support for the MiniMed separation project and oversee corporate governance compliance
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and implement appropriate business responses
• Manage disputes, litigation, and regulatory investigations in coordination with external counsel
• Deliver compliance training and manage stakeholder and external counsel relationship

Must Have: Minimum Requirements:

• German legal qualification (Erstes und Zweites Staatsexamen) - admission to practice law required
• Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience, with a combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of German law and EU regulatory frameworks, with working familiarity with Austrian and Swiss legal systems
• Healthcare, medical device, or life sciences experience strongly preferred
• Fluency in German and English - essential

Typically requires a Juris Doctorate and minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
