Responsibilities

• You will coordinate VAT returns for our German and European Statista companies.
• You will work on a variety of projects, covering topics such as e-invoicing, withholding tax processes, and digitization.
• Together with our experienced tax team, you will advise our domestic and foreign companies on issues relating to VAT, corporate and international tax law.
• You will assist in the preparation and maintenance of our transfer pricing documentation in Germany and abroad.
• You will support the establishment and further development of our tax compliance management system and contribute your own ideas for optimizing tax processes.

Requirements

• A successfully completed degree in economics with a focus on tax/finance - or completed training as an assistant or tax specialist.
• Initial professional experience (1-3 years) in the field of taxation, ideally in an international environment.
• Sound knowledge of corporate and VAT law as well as practical experience in VAT compliance; initial insights into international tax law are a plus.
• A structured, independent way of working combined with team spirit and solution-oriented thinking.
• IT affinity and proficient in MS Excel; experience with SAP S/4HANA is an advantage.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
