About the role

As an Attorney Support Assistant (Rechtsanwaltsfachangestellte) (m/w/d) for our Litigation team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties for the attorneys and will be part of our Germany-wide team of Rechtsanwaltsfachangestellte.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving assignments from attorneys and performing tasks as requested
  • Calculation and administration of court deadlines (“Fristenmanagement” – via DATEV system)
  • Assisting the attorneys with all beA related court matters
  • Drafting of court documents (“Schriftsätze”, “Fristverlängerungsanträge”,„Terminsverlegungsanträge“ etc.)
  • Communication with the German courts in relation to court proceedings and appointments
  • Performing court cost calculations (“Kostenfestsetzungsanträge”)
  • Open new matters following client intake procedures (conflicts check, engagement letters, AML support)
  • Enter and close timesheets per policies
  • Edit and format transaction related documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Travel and calendar management

About you:

  • Qualifications as Rechtsanwaltsfachangestellte(r), - und Notarfachangestellte(r) or Rechtsfachwirt(in)
  • Knowledge of beA processes, RVG and, ideally, DATEV
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German
  • Good English communication skills
  • Several years of secretarial support experience in an international professional services firm
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion
  • Organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines
  • Well developed and professional interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact and communicate effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm
